Note : Textile Heritage have just restarted this collection, apart from Georgian Townhouse and Royal Mile Tenements.  However we still have limited stocks of the Royal Mile Tenements Kit.

Choose from this collection of Miniatures each depicting a famous Edinburgh landmark.  Including Edinburgh Castle, Georgian Townhouse, Greyfriars Bobby, The Palace of Holyroodhouse, Royal Mile Tenements and St Giles Cathedral.

Miniatures stitched on 18-count Aida fabric.  Kit includes fabric, needle, 6-strand embroidery cotton, full charted instructions, 3-fold card and envelope.  Finished project measures 3.5" x 3.5".

Quick Facts

• Edinburgh is variously known as the Athens of the North or Auld Reekie (in reference to the smoke that hung over the city before smokeless fuel)

• Greyfriars Bobby was a little dog who pined every day for many years at his police constable master's grave in Greyfriars Churchyard.  When he eventually died he was buried alongside his master.

• Edinburgh Castle has been variously held by the Scots, the English and even once by the French.

• Edinburgh has been the Capital of Scotland for several Centuries (Perth, Stirling and Dunfermline all having been previous Capitals).  

• In 1999 a devolved Parliament sat in Edinburgh for the first time since the dissolution of "The Estates" almost 300 years previously on the Act of Union with England.
