Traditional Scots Toast - Currently the most popular in this series. A girnal, incidentally, is a Scots word meaning a storage chest for meal.

The Selkirk Grace may not have been written by Robert Burns, but is frequently attributed to him. It seems that one evening Burns was invited to dine with Thomas Douglas, 5th Earl of Selkirk, and this was what he recited when asked to say grace.
